Purpose

Controlled Scaling Protocol defines when and how an affiliate campaign can move from testing into careful scaling.

This page prevents MWMS from increasing spend too quickly before the evidence is strong enough.


Scaling Rule

Do not scale based on excitement.

Scale only when the campaign has produced reliable evidence.


Required Before Scaling

Confirm:

  • offer passed testing
  • tracking is reliable
  • conversion data is clean
  • spend level is controlled
  • CPA or return target is understood
  • result is not based on one lucky conversion
  • compliance risk remains acceptable
  • funnel has not changed unexpectedly
  • budget increase is approved

Scaling Signals

A campaign may be ready to scale when:

  • conversions are repeatable
  • cost per result is acceptable
  • click quality is stable
  • traffic source performance is consistent
  • creative angle shows clear signal
  • funnel behaviour remains stable
  • refund or quality risk is not increasing

Scaling Actions

Use controlled increases only:

  • increase budget gradually
  • keep the winning campaign structure clean
  • avoid changing too many variables at once
  • monitor daily performance
  • compare new spend against original test results
  • pause if performance drops sharply

Stop Scaling If

Stop or slow scaling if:

  • tracking becomes unreliable
  • cost per result rises too quickly
  • conversion rate drops sharply
  • refund risk increases
  • compliance risk appears
  • traffic quality worsens
  • results become inconsistent
